Clos Bellane was acquired be winemaker Stephane Vedeau 2010, who was drawn to its high altitude, northerly positioned limestone vineyards. His aim was to produce wines in the Southern Rhone with an emphasis on freshness and finesse rather than weight and power.
Sourced from 30yr old vines in vineyards 410m above the village of Valreas, this is one of the highest and coolest regions in the entire Southern Rhone. Certified organic winemaking, wild yeast fermentation and the use of old barrels and concrete vats allows the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir to shine.
