Spoke 'Resolute' Sauvignon Blanc, Alice Mills Vineyard, Marlborough, New Zealand 2021
Sauvignon Blanc
Hand picked grapes from the Glover's Alice Mills vineyard in Rapaura, where the Wairau river passes to the north. With wild yeast fermentation in old oak barrels and time on its lees this is a textured Sauvignon Blanc, with lovely acidity and minerality that's balanced by the quality of the fruit, giving a long lasting finish.
Pairs well with shellfish dishes and soft cheese.
"This is a truly beautiful expression of Marlborough Sauvignon, tensile and complex with a spicy frill to the powerful citrus, apricot, passionfruit and fennel notes. There’s a beautiful acid line here, with crystalline citrus fruits dominating, and a long spicy finish. High acidity, but it doesn’t jar, such is the richness of the fruit here.
