Our favourite champagne of the year is sure to delight this festive season, Vilamort Grand Reserve, a strikingly elegant yet complex wine, with aromas of lemon, grapefruit, vanilla and hazelnut. The palate has a wonderfully fine mousse, with ripe pear, peach, honeysuckle and subtle toast. Superb. Pair it with Castello di Ama's 'Montebuoni', a wine that is, in our eyes, a true presentation of the elegance of Sangiovese and Cheateau Laville Sauternes, laden with citrus and spicy layers, the perfect dessert wine.
