Domaine de Pepiere Muscadet Sevre & Maine, Clisson Valley, France, 2022
Located in the Clisson Valley, on granite subsoils with high drainage, this Muscadet has delicious minerality that’s complemented by a richness from two years on its lees, in underground glass tanks. There’s a fullness here, one that’s smooth but without weight that might come from oak, backed up by that minerality.
Pairs well with shellfish, especially mussels, oysters, prawns. Also pairs very well with soft cheese.
