In Piemonte's most northernly wine-growing region, the Alto Piemonte, lies Boca, Piedmont's highest (400-450mtrs above sea level) and most easterly vineyards and once considered the most progressive wine-growing region in Italy and the historic home of Nebbiolo.
A homage to historic 'Maggiorina' trellising system, whereby four vines are clustered together, and the Maggiorina vineyards themselves. The wine consists of 13 different grapes, a true 'field-blend', from 50-100 year old vines and matured in large oak barrels for two years. Dark fruits, savory and spices
The vines are planted on ancient volcanic soils which, a long with the cool climate and elevation, helps create wines that are both elegant and rich.
