Roccofiore ‘Fiordaliso’ Grechetto, Umbria, Italy 2020 (white)
Produced entirely from the Grechetto di Todi grape in Umbria, this is a superb example of this often over-looked variety. Crisp, dry and refreshing, with white flowers, grapefruit, and green apple on the palate, and a fantastic salty, mineral finish.
Adega Algueira 'Mencia', Ribeira Sacra, Spain (red)
An absolute delight of a wine, textbook Mencia, the nose is fresh and fragrant, with aromas of plums, berries and cherries. The palate is juicy and lively, with a lovely touch of herbal freshness, and a hint of sourness on the finish. Just delicious – this is what we’ll be drinking all summer.
