A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre, Vacqueyras is the lesser known, better looking sibling to Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and it beats its neighbour hands down for consistency and class. Small and family run, Domaine la Roubine focus their work on the vineyards “where the real work is done” By ensuring the grapes are of the highest quality, they say the wines practically make themselves. We know they are just being modest, and their winemaking clearly matches their grape growing! This wine is wonderfully full and rich, with bramble fruit, spice, black pepper and liquorice.
