This is where it gets really interesting. As with the sommelier selection, we’ll send you three wines hand-picked by Ian every month. Similarly, these wines will be selected to show the range of styles and differing approaches to wine-making within a specific theme. But this selection allows us to explore some of the more exclusive options, like premier cru and single vineyards, along with limited production or older vintage wines. We’ll feature iconic producers and some of the brightest emerging stars in the world of wine.
Each box will usually include at least two ‘colours’, and seasonality will dictate whether they are mostly red, white or one of the colours in between. Each wine will come with winemaking details and a note explaining why we’ve chosen this particular bottle – not just a list of descriptors or fruit flavours, but what we feel about the wine, and why we think you will like it.
We’ll also include:
- A recommended food pairing
- Suggested cheese match for each wine
- Option to ‘Double up’ on wine at a reduced cost

The selection could span the globe, such as three very different expressions of Syrah from around the world, or could be regionally focused, such as three Burgundies from villages less than 20km apart. We might feature three of the world’s leading biodynamic producers, or three excellent examples of Volcanic wines.

About
We’ve harnessed all of the knowledge and experience from over 20 years in the wine business to create the ELY Wine Club. Every month we’ll send you 3 bottles on a specific theme. There’s no strict rule as to what wines we’ll choose other than we love them and are eager to share them. They will most likely be organic or biodynamic, could well be minimum intervention and low sulphur, but we’re not going to exclude anything until we’ve tasted it. This means red, white, orange, pink, still and sparkling will all feature. The only rule we set ourselves in the selection process is seasonality.

Wines are dispatched on the last Monday of the month, and should arrive 2/3 days thereafter.
