Château Macquin St-Georges St Emilion, Bordeaux, France 2018
From the tiny village of St Georges, just north of St. Emilion. Deep ruby red in colour, this wine has intense aromas of ripe red fruits along with spicy notes of cinnamon and pepper. The palate is full-bodied with concentrated flavours of cassis, raspberry and tobacco with a lifted acidity. Silky tannins linger on the long, persistent finish.

Wonderfully precise and focused, this single vineyard Sancerre is a classic of its kind. Crisp, with citrus fruit and gooseberries, a lean and mineral palate, and fantastic length.
