Tobia ‘Cuvee’ White, Rioja, Spain 2018/19

The Tobia Blanco is a blend of grapes, vineyards and vintages. Here, we have Viura and Tempranillo Blanco, along with a splash of Garnacha blanco and Chardonnay, from both 2019 and 2018. Initial aromas are enticingly ripe -peach, pear and pineapple, but the palate offers more freshness in the form of lemon and pithy grapefruit. Delicate use of oak comes through as subtle vanilla and cinnamon on the finish, to make this a complex yet very drinkable wine.

Ideal with White Meat, Fish. Grape variety Viura / Tempranillo Blanco.
