In Tuscany, Sangiovese is king- a grape variety whose qualities and charms increase exponentially when paired with food. High in acidity and tannins, it is not always a wine for easy enjoyment. However, when matched with the right dish, its aromas and flavours of cherry, plum and dried herb explode to life, and the characteristic acidity becomes cleansing and refreshing. There is no better food wine. We will taste wines such as Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile de Montepulciano and more, and show the true greatness of this variety.
