Subtle nose of apple, white peach golden plum, followed by a wonderful texture on the palate-it feels rich, rounded & smooth -then finishes with fresh, mineral and slightly saline tang. A fantastic introduction to this intriguing variety.

"I featured Picarana’s suave big sister, Pies Descalzos, at Christmas, but this makes a fine everyday alternative, with less oak intensity but plenty of aromatic complexity (pineapple mint, chestnut honey, baking spices and nougat) and a broad creamy texture that finishes with the refreshing bite of lemon zest. Perfect for grazing with smoked almonds, tangy cheeses or saline oysters, or with roast white meat or poultry"
